Coronavirus

Coronavirus Update

We would like to reassure you that Howard Cundey Live will be operational during these unusual and worrying times. Our systems and communications technology allow staff to operate from home, to ensure continuation of services to our all clients and customers.

Our shops and offices are now closed to aid the government directive for social distancing to protect the public and our staff.

Please note that meetings will generally be held via screen sharing technology or phone call.

Marketing activity is ongoing for properties that are still for sale and property visits and viewings will be understandably restricted or controlled.

We are making every effort to support current transactions to see them through to completion, working closely with all third parties involved

We hope you all stay safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

Repairs and Maintenance

In respect of maintenance and repair issues, because the availability of contractors will not be at their usual level, we have politely asked tenants to be patient with any delays we encounter while we are working in these unprecedented conditions. We will do our utmost to get the jobs reported to us attended to as quickly as possible. Please be aware that minor issues will not be dealt with as a matter or priority due to the expected shortage of contractors.

If a tenant smells gas & suspect they have a leak, we have reminded them to call the gas emergency service on 0800 111999

Property appointments

Clearly visiting properties for marketing viewings or other forms of inspection (move in, move out, condition etc) will need to change. If access is needed, we will follow hygiene procedures and social distancing. If physical access is not possible, we can use technology to see the property, such as video-based apps typically available on mobile devices and tablets.

Rent payments

We have reminded all tenants that unless they have indicated otherwise, we expect them to pay rent as normal. We will inform you if there are any rent payment issues with your tenant(s).

We wish you well in these troubling times and hope you stay well.

Video and Virtual Tours

Dear Valued Customer,

We are still receiving daily enquires and requests for viewings which of course we cannot do in these worrying times.

We are working on video tours for applicants to view your property and if you felt comfortable doing this we would be grateful if you could look at filming your own property for us and we will put it online and we can edit it for you.

We can restart your property sale as quickly as possible once we’re out of lockdown and we believe there will a lot of pent up demand for properties
If we can put the following in place, we will be ahead of the marketing when we come out of lockdown.
– Virtual tours
– Accompanied remote viewings
– Online auctions
Should you wish to discuss any of the above then please do not hesitate to contact us
